Congratulations to this week's winners of the PennTrackXC Performer of the Week poll! For the boys, Pennsbury's Eric Wacker took the honors, while Germantown Academy's Abbe Goldstein won for the girls. Coincidentally, it's the second straight week that the winners hail from Pennsbury and GA. Thanks to all who voted in the poll and stay tuned for more throughout the season.
Boys Performer of the Week: Eric Wacker (Pennsbury)

Eric Wacker added his name to the hat on Saturday. The Pennsbury senior was having a nice season prior to this past weekend. He took 7th in the high jump at a competitive field, clearing 6-2. But at the TFCAofGP meet on Saturday at Haverford, Wacker cleared 6-5, a PA#2 and huge PR to take the win. The boys high jump field is wide open. Ten guys have cleared 6-3 with only three inches separating those ten. With this performance, Wacker now certainly has a claim to that select group. We'll see what else Wacker has in store the rest of the way.
Girls Performer of the Week: Abbe Goldstein (Germantown Academy)

It's been an incredible start to the season for Abbe Goldstein. And it appears she is only just getting started. The Germantown Academy junior started off her season in a big way with a (still) PA#1 10:02 3000 meters at The Armory Hall of Fame Invite. She then took to the Hispanic Games at The Armory, where she ran a 5:01 mile to take fourth. And a few days later, Goldstein returned once more to The Armory for the Millrose Trials. She just missed out on a Millrose auto-bid (a mere .02 off), but still ran a monster race. Goldstein dropped a PA#1, US#3 4:54.36 for second place. What's next for Goldstein? We'll have to wait and see, but something tells us it's going to involve more fast times.
