Weekend Preview (1/23): Meet Previews and Cancellation Info

Kevin Dare Invitational

***Start time moved back to 11am***

We'll see how many teams from across the state will actually be attending, but the performance list looks nice in spite of that.

Girls: Chanel Brissett of Cheltenham is entered in the 60 meter hurdles. She's only .07 off her former teammate Ciara Leonard's indoor state record of 8.39. If she makes the trip up to State College, there's a real chance this record goes down. Stay tuned, folks.

Kouri Peace, who we mentioned in the DVGTCA preview is entered in both the 60 meters and 200 meters. It's unlikely the Pennridge frosh will run at both meets. With the weather, it's likely the Rams will skip out on Penn State and head up to Lehigh instead. The same goes for Jayana Webb of Norristown, who is entered in the 200 meters at Penn State, but also at Lehigh.

Also in the 200 meter field will be Dasia Pressley of Pennsbury and Cheltenham's Alexis Crosby.

In the 400 meters, Springside Chestnut Hill's Brooklynn Broadwater and Pennsbury's Pressley will go after a fast time.

In the girls' 3000 meters, Cumberland Valley's Mady Clahane and Pennsbury's Hannah Molloy are both entered in what figures to be a very competitive race.

In the long jump, PA#1 Madison Langely-Walker will look to keep improving on her impressive sophomore season. Langley-Walker is also entered in the triple jump 60 meter hurdles. She'll face competition from PA#1 in the triple jump, Veronika Karpenko of State College, who will also compete in both jumps.

PA#1 Emily Stauffer of Cocalico got her state-leading mark last week and she will return, hoping to better that at Penn State.

In the high jump, US#1 Erika Voyzey will try and improve on her long-time PR of 5-8.

Boys: Look for PA#4 in the 60 meter hurdles, Ache Hall of Springfield.

PA#5 Tucker Desko of Pennridge returns to the half mile, racing what should be a quick 800 meters.

In the jumps, PA#1 in the long jump Kellin Valentine of State College gets back on the runway. He'll also be in the triple jump.
