The Delaware Valley girls took advantage of one last weekend to get in work and performances before the state meet next Sunday. Friday night at Lehigh, some performances shined.

Cheltenham's Madison Langley-Walker had the busiest night of anyone, and she also walked away with the most gold medal. Three of them, in fact. The sophomore won the 60 meter hurdles (8.99), the long jump (18-1.5), and the triple jump (38-11). The triple jump is the most impressive of the bunch, and it also came after the other two. 38-11 is a new PA#1 by a mere quarter inch.

The sprints were fast to say the least. In a battle of three of the state's top sprinters in the 60 meters, it was the eldest, Pennsbury senior Dasia Pressley who came out on top. In the finals, Pressley ran a 7.53 (PA#1) barely edging out Cheltenham's Chanel Brissett (7.54) and Pennridge's Kouri Peace (7.56). For those keeping score at home, that's PA#1 through PA#3 in one race.

Peace wasn't finished. In the 200 meters, the freshman broke a 13-year-old meet record, coming across the line first by a wide margin in the 200 meters in a time of 24.32 on a flat track.

Central Bucks West's Maddie Villalba looked very strong in a convincing win in the 800 meters, posting a PA#3 2:13.40. The mile was a thrilling race, as North Penn's Phoebe Clowser came from behind to overtake the Pennsbury duo of Olivia Sargent and Mary Webb on the last lap for the win in 5:10.96.

Villalba spoke with PTXC afterwards:

In the relays, North Penn showcased its depth, winning both the 4x400 and 4x800. They were second in the 4x200 as well to Pennsbury, who won from the second fastest heat. Penn Wood held off a large charge from Pennsbury to win the DMR.
