Fairview's Lilly Myers is turning her first season of cross country a memorable one.
The senior, who already posted a win at West Middlesex earlier this season, picked up win #2 on Saturday, running 19:15 on a tough Rocky Grove course to take the victory in a close race. Myers ran a PR of 11:19 in the 3200 meters in the spring, and she's only gotten better from there. Watch her post-race interview below:
Saint Marys Area's Michelle Bauer took second to Myers. The reigning District 9-AA champion in XC won last week at Ridgway and followed that up with a strong race on Saturday. Her time was 19:28. We talked with her after her race:
Savanna Carr of Franklin Area was third in 19:45 and Saint Marys Area's Amanda Foster took fourth in 20:15. In the team race, General McLane squeaked out a close one over Lakeview. McLane was led up front by freshman Devyn Bayle, who took sixth overall in 20:53, as the team scored 92 points to Lakeview's 96. Saint Marys Area, with those two low sticks, was third.
