Clarenchell Tate, running for Mt. Airy TC, posted a 6.99 win in the Championships Meet held Feb 8, but it wasn\'t her best time of the series. That was a 6.88 in the prelims of teh Feb 1st meet at Lehigh. The Mid-Atlantic USATF Indoor series consisted of four meets held January 4th and 11th, and February 1st and 8th, the lastest date the Championships. All were held at Lehigh University. From a quick glance, there were some excellent performances. Those making PA elite status are noted. Khalif Featherstone took 2nd in the 400 in 51.02 and second in the 200 in 23.47. Sargbah Tarpeh (Overbrook) was right behind him in 52.38. Tarpeh also ran 2:04 to win the 800. Harold Williams (Dobbins) hit two PR\'s in running 53.66 and 2:08.9 in the 400 and 800. Kenneth Talley (Simon Gratz) ran for third in both sprints in 6.63 and 23.87. Brandon Lane (Carver HS for Engineering & Science) took 5th in the 400 in 54.80 . The squad of Tarpeh, Talley, Williams and Featherstone capped off the meet by winning the 4x200 in 1:33.40.
