In the race of the day at the second TSTCA meet of the season at Edinboro University, it was a race to the last step.
Ambridge Area's Isaac Elliott, who bettered his own state lead in the 60 meters earlier in the day, raced North Allegheny's Ayden Owens in the closest of races. Owens won the 60-meter hurdles for a second straight week earlier in the day. Elliott edged out Owens, but the pair both clocked 21.91, which puts them at PA#3 so far on the season.
Surely, it's not the last we've seen from either of these two, who have quickly become some of the year's top athletes of the indoor season.
