Two returnees have thrown over 200 feet, but who could be this year's breakout performer?
Boys' Javelin Preseason Rankings By Classification: AAA | AA | Independent
There was an absurd amount of talent in the PA boys' javelin last season. We saw seven boys throw over 200 feet, with a number of others just on the cusp. PA dominated the national rankings. It culminated with Mike Marsack winning AAA and Laurel's Jake Wilson scoring an upset win in AA. Many of those top names graduated, but lots of talent returns with plenty of room for breakouts.
Richland's Ethan Dabbs leads the list of the returners. He threw 208-0 mid-season, but took fourth in a close competition at states. Now a junior, Dabbs will likely be setting his sights on a state title in Class AA. He had three throws over 200 feet last spring and seems primed for a big season.
