The AAA and AA state champs return from last year, but a host of others will be competitive
Girls' Long Jump Preseason Rankings By Classification: AAA | AA | Independent
Perhaps no battle for the top spot in Pennsylvania is more wide open than the girls' long jump. A number of state champions (indoor and outdoor) return this spring and we should see a large number of girls jump past that 19 foot marker.
At the top of the returners list in Pocono Mountain East's Khyasi Caldwell-Adams. Last year, the University of Virginia recruit won her second straight AAA state title at Ship. She jumped a best of 19-6 last season. For the first time, Caldwell-Adams competed indoors this past winter season. She jumped in two meets and took home second at indoor states. She'll go for state title #3 this spring.
