Yasmin Brooks will be tough to beat in AAA, and in AA the race for first will be fierce

Girls' 300m Hurdles Preseason Rankings By Classification: AAA | AA | Independent

Last year, we watched Yasmin Brooks of Susquehanna Township become one of the state's most exciting and versatile athletes. The TCU signee will make a big impact in the heptathlon at the collegiate level, but before that, we have one last season to watch Brooks tear up the track and field.

Brooks won her first state title last spring, taking first in the 300 meter hurdles and dropping one of the state's fastest all-time times with a 41.71 in the finals. According to our records, that's the third fastest time in state history, behind just Ryann Krais (41.20 in 2008) and Leah Nugent (41.10 in 2011). Nugent raced in the final at the Rio Olympics this past summer. Can Brooks creep closer to Nugent's record? We'll see, but we do know she'll be the strong favorite in AAA.
