2016 was a special year in the girls' sprints. 2017 has the potential to be just as, if not more, special. Let's go through the stacked 100 meters to figure out who the names are that you should be keeping an eye on this spring.
At the top of the list is sophomore sensation Thelma Davies of Girard College. Davies burst onto the scene last winter as a freshman and has been at the top of the state leaderboard ever since. Last spring, she shattered Lauryn Williams' state meet record by blasting an 11.58 in the 100 finals. Davies tied her own 60 meter dash state record this winter and seems primed for a huge spring season. There will be no stopping Davies in AA this season.
