The boys' 800 meters, like the girls', is stacked with plenty of talent all around the state of Pennsylvania. The race for state title---in both AA and AAA---will be fierce this season. Who will come out on top? A lot depends on what some of the biggest names decide to focus on in the state meet.

Kamil Jihad of Neumann Goretti is the state's top returner by time from last year. Jihad dropped a quick 1:52.23 at the state meet last year, taking second in AA to Beaver Falls' Domenic Perretta, who was winning his third straight state title. Jihad won an eighth place medal at indoor states and will look to move up to the top outdoor spot this spring. Brookville Area's Ryan Thrush could challenge him.
