Girls' 200m Preseason Rankings By Classification: AAA | AA | Independent
While the state record holder---Dasia Pressley of Pennsbury---has graduated, there is a wealth of talent returning in the girls' 200 meters this spring. And we only expect these ladies to get even faster this season.
The two state champions return to the fray. In AAA, Pennridge's Kouri Peace will be going for the repeat, while Girard College's Thelma Davies looks to continue her success into this season. Both Peace and Davies were freshman last season, so the sophomores have more experience these season and we could see those times make a nice drop.
Peace returns with a best of 23.60 from last season (she holds the indoor state record). She spent most of the indoor season recovering from a knee injury suffered during the soccer season, but still managed to run well and take second to to Davies at states. Meanwhile, Davies blew away the AA field last season, running 23....
