Remember this?
With the 12th annual Hoka One One John Hay Pennsylvania Distance Festival tomorrow, let's look back on an epic duel in the high school boys' Meet of Champions 800 meters, which featured state record holder John Lewis of Cheltenham going up against Germantown Academy's Sam Ritz and Beaver Falls' Domenic Perretta.
While Lewis took the race out hard, it was Ritz in the end who had the better kick, edging out Lewis in the closing meters. Ritz won in 1:50.72, while Lewis took second in 1:50.93, and Domenic Perretta was third in 1:51.27.
We hope to see some more drama on Friday night at Henderson!
