Like the loaded girls' long jump, plenty of talent returns to the fray in the girls' triple jump in Pennsylvania.

Three girls have jumps over 40 feet on their resumes. The first is the only girl who jumped over 40 feet this past spring, Ayanna Burrell of Stroudsburg (below). She jumped 40-02 to win the District 11 title last spring. She wound up fourth at states in AAA and will look to move up this season.

Then there's Christina Warren of Perkiomen Valley (above), who is yet to jump to 40 feet outdoors, but has registered a few 40-footers in her career. Most recently, Warren leapt her all-conditions PR of 40-10.75 to win the indoor state title. She's also the reigning AAA state champion outdoors; she went 39-09.75 to win the state title.

Upper Dublin's Madison Langley-Walker will be a factor as well. She was second to Warren both at outdoor states last year and at this winter's indoor state meet. In 2017, she won the indoor state title with a career best jump of 40-04.5. She's a talented ...
