After a one-year hiatus, Jahan Dotson has returned to the track.
The Nazareth Area senior four-star wide receiver recruit (per Rivals.com) is all set and signed to Penn State to play football in the fall, but it looks like that won't stop him from chasing more state golds this spring in track and field.
Dotson opened up his outdoor track season on Thursday in a home tri-meet against Allentown Central Catholic and Stroudsburg and he came away with three wins, including a PA#1. Dotson ran 11.14 in the 100 meters and 23.14 in the 200 meters (after converting hand-times), but his state leader came his best event.
He leapt 22-7 to win the long jump and set an early-season PA#1. Dotson's PR stands at 24-4.5 from his sophomore year, which won him the 2016 AAA state title (still the best jump in PA in the last two years). He was also apart of Nazareth's state championship 4x100-meter relay team that year. He transferred to the Peddie School in New Jersey for his sophomore year, but returned to Nazareth for his senior year.
He originally committed to play football UCLA, but flipped on signing day and went with the Nittany Lions.
