Ayden Owens captured the 110-meter hurdles win at the Brooks PR Invitational in Shoreline, Washington, continuing his terrific outdoor season.
The North Allegheny senior matched up with a strong field and picked up the win over US#5 Devion Wilson of Texas and Eric Edwards, who is also from Texas and has raced sparingly this spring (but does have a 13.32 PR).
In the rain, Owens clocked a time of 13.80 to edge out Edwards, who ran 13.86. His own US#6 time is 13.68 from earlier this spring.
A pair of PA distance runners also made the trip to Washington state. Northern's Marlee Starliper went 4:51.39 to place fifth in the girls' mile run. Katie Dammer of Abington Heights placed tenth in the girls' 2 mile in a time of 10:33.65.
