The Mancoridis sisters will look to return to the top of District 12 this season. Masterman has shifted from 2A back to 1A, where it previously spent a number of seasons. Marina Mancoridis won the D12-A in 2015 as a freshman. The past two seasons, Viki Mancoridis was second in D12-AA and Marina placed third. With the pair, moving to 1A this year, they could go 1-2 in the district.
But reigning D12-A individual champion Sherisse Peterson of Neumann Goretti may have something to say about that. She ran away with the district win last season and then clocked an impressive 20:49 at the state meet a week later. Mykala Perry, the 2016 D12-A champ and 2017 runner-up who also won the AA 400 meters this past spring, will be another NG runner to watch. NG's Alaysha Jones (fourth at districts last year) will also be in the mix for a top five finish.
