Watch CB West Sweep The 4x8s at SOLs


Central Bucks West pulled off the 4x800 meter relay sweep on day one of the Suburban One League (SOL) Continental Conference Championships.

First, the West girls went 9:21.68 for the win, holding off rival Central Bucks East. Their time is a PA No. 2 and the top AAA time in the state so far this season

West got a 2:18 FAT split from Carlin McFadden and a 2:19 anchor leg from Darby Roth, and managed to run a season best without Piper Wilson (2:15 PR) and Emmi Simon (2:14 PR) in the lineup.

The boys from West went 7:54.72 for the win. Already PA No. 1 in the event, their time from Friday is still the third fastest time by any squad so far this season. In a tactical final leg, half mile breakthrough Blake Ewaskey held off Pennridge's Luke Eissler for the win.

Pennridge, without two legs from their indoor state championship squad, Matt Eissler and Andersen Dimon, ran 7:58.24, a PA No. 5, for second.

Last year CB West swept the 4x800 at states with the girls team and the boys team taking home AAA titles at the PIAA State Championships. Friday's effort to start off their postseasons show that West could very well pull off the same sweep again this spring.
