AA Boys' 4x100m Relay Preview
The AA boys 4x1 will be one of the weekend's most interesting races. Four teams come into the meet having run sub-43, and we can expect a really close race for the win here.
Brookville Area is the top seed and top-ranked squad. They ran 42.02 to win the District 9 title convincingly and have been strong all year with some terrific depth. Brookville will be the ones to beat, but they'll be challenged by some hungry relays in this field.
Motivation is the AA No. 2 squad with a 42.24 to win the Public League. They, too, are really deep in the sprints and could certainly give Brookville a run for the win. Southern Columbia Area has been getting better and better. They will be the No. 2 seed with a 42.72, which they ran to win the District 4 title. SC will also be in the mix. The same goes for Aliquippa, which has the top-ranked 100 meter runner in AA in Marlin Devonshire. The Quips went 42.82 for the WPIAL win last week.
Bishop McDevitt, Ligonier Valley, West Catholic, and Riverside will also be in the mix in this very strong field.
The meet record of 41.75 set last year by Dock Mennonite could be in trouble in what will be a very competitive race for the win.
