Delco Championships - Meet Recap
It was close team battles all around at Delcos at Rose Tree Park in Media.
The Strath Haven girls earned the top two spots individually with Ava Crawford taking the win in 19:14, followed by Rowe Crawford, who took second in 19:29. But it was Haverford Township that earned the team win with 57 points to Haven's 58 points. Maura Timoney led the way for the champion Fords with a fifth place finish, as Haverford managed just a 41-second 1 through 5 spread.
In the boys' race, Haverford's Mike Donnelly won the individual race in a time of 16:07 defending his county title from a year ago. Penncrest's Patrick Theveny took second in 16:16. Penncrest and Haverford Township both scored 43 points, but Penncrest earned the Delco title on a sixth runner tiebreaker.
