John Sample (Grove City) Invitational - Meet Recap
Fairview junior Maddison Hayes added another invitational win in 2019, covering the distance in 18:33 and turning back sophomores Alaina Hicks (18:50) of North Catholic and South Fayette's Lauren Iagnemma (18:55). South Fayette also picked up the team victory in the girls' race, finishing with 43 points to Knoch's 91.
In the boys' race, Tobias Jones of host Grove City was the winner in 15:46, besting Fairview's Zach Buckner (15:51) and Meadville's Patrick Stevens (15:56). The host Eagles claimed the team title with 43 points, while South Fayette was second with 92.
