The 1600m run at the Fords Track Classic was the most competitive race of the season. It produced nine PA Top 15 times.

The rankings look drastically different after this one, and the Top-5 times in the state are all a result of this race.

Olivia Cieslak (Haverford Township) earned the win, edging Ella Woehlcke of Mount Saint Joseph in the last 100m. They ran 4:50.88 and 4:51.14, respectively.

The field split 71 seconds through the opening quarter - but a dense pack remained towards the front. They strung out in the second lap - creating a freight train as the girls continued to roll around the track.

The leaders, Cieslak, Woehlcke, Claire Zubey (OJR), and Therese Trainer (Academy of Notre Dame), split 2:26 through the opening half. Ellie Keefer (Rustin) and Madison Brown (Downingtown East) followed about five meters back, with the rest of the field still looming.

The last 400 meters came down to the kick for the four front runners, and Cieslak could hold off Woehlcke and Zubey to the line. She closed with a 70-second last lap.

Zubey finished in third with a 4:53.25. Trainer and Keefer rounded out the race's top five with runs of 4:57.31 and 4:58.63, respectively.

Lana Hurwitz (Parkland) and Maddie Miller (Rustin) also finished with PA Top 10 marks. They ran 5:02.85 and 5:02.93. Brown and Lower Moreland's Amelia Ogawa joined them inside the PA Top 15 with runs of 5:05.06 and 5:07.59.

Camryn McGeehan (Haverford Township) rounded out the race's top 10 with a finish of 5:11.59.

In total - nine of the top 10 finishers ran Outdoor personal bests.

Cieslak, Woehlcke and Zubey all ran US Top-50 times.
