2-3-4! PA Trio Climbs the 800m All-Time List at NBNI

Pennsylvania had a day in the Championship 800m on Sunday

2-3-4. Olivia Cieslak (Haverford), Ella Woehlcke (Mount Saint Joseph) and Alli DeLisi (Penn Charter) finished in that order in the New Balance Nationals 800m Championship on Sunday.

The field was chasing eventual champion Ali Ince, but Cieslak gave chase. She was positioned behind Ince throughout the race and put herself in a position to strike. Ultimately she finished in second with a 2:06.22.

Woehlcke was closing strong as well and ran a 32.14 last lap. That was the fastest kick of anyone in the top four and she finished with a stellar time of 2:06.65.

Notably, that means that both Cieslak and Woehlcke climbed up the PA All-Time List. In fact, they are now at the PA No. 2 and PA No. 3 All-Time ranks.

Alli DeLisi finished fourth with her 2:07.90. That was just a tick off of her best mark of 2:07.84 from earlier this year.

Chanelle Price still holds the state record of 2:04.96 from the 2007 PTFCA Indoor State Championship.

Depending on what happens this week at Adidas Indoor Nationals, Pennsylvania has the chance to finish the year with four Pennsylvanians in the top six of the National Rankings.
