State Leaders

After over 80,000 votes(!!) Kamden Kramer (McDowell) and Kendra Williamson (Episcopal) earned last week's Athlete of the Week honors. Kramer ran 14:47 over the three mile race distance at the McQuaid Invitational in New York. That converts to a low 15-minute 5k.

Williamson ran 18:41 to win the DELCO XC Championship. She won by over 40 seconds, in her most impressive victory of the year.

This weekend, there were some incredible performances in and out of state. Each week - The PA MileSplit crew will nominate multiple athletes and allow you to vote for the Runner of the Week. This week's poll will close on Wednesday (October 9th) at 8:00 pm EST.

The Week's Boys Candidates:

Carter Smith (Mifflin County) - Smith ran like an expert en-route to winning the Paul Short Run in a personal best 15:04. He was one of four boys to break 15:10 in Friday's nail-biter.

Liam Kirkpatrick (Chambersburg) - Kirkpatrick won the Gettysburg XC Invitational in 16:17. It was the first XC invitational win of his career.

Isaiah Stauff (Grove City) - Stauff ran 15:45 to win the John Sample Invitational. He led Grove City to the Invitational win with a new personal best time.

Matt Gosling (Council Rock North) - Gosling ran 15:41 to win the William Tennent Invitational. He led Council Rock North to a 1-2-4 finish and helped his team secure a 35-point victory.



The Week's Girls Candidates:

Lillian DiCola (Hatboro Horsham) - DiCola methodically moved her way up and won the 2024 Paul Short Run with a stunning 17:16.90. Her time is the sixth fastest time in course history and a huge cross country personal best.

Leah Navarro (Dallastown) - Navarro ran 18:35.7 to win the Gettysburg XC Invitational over her teammate Neila Granger. 

Angela Zeng (South Fayette) - The South Fayette ninth grader ran 18:23 to win the Legends Meet Large Race in Ohio. Zeng's time was a 15-second personal best.

Megan Puleio (Meadville Area) - Puleio ran 19:38 to win the Harbor Creek Dirty Dawg Invitational. She won the race by nearly a minute.
