Steve Hallinan (O\'Hara), running for American University, and Mike Tilger (Carroll), running for St. Francis (PA) were both named rookie of the year for their respective conferences. Hallinan placed 4th in the Patriot League Championships, and Tilger 7th in the Northeast Conference Champs. Palisade grad Christa Plummer, a frosh at LaSalle, was 6th in the Atlantic 10 Championsips to win the top rookie award. The A-10 was won by 2003 St. Hubert grad Rachel Papin. And 2004 Boiling Springs grad Kyleigh Millhouse was named top rookie in the Patriot League after her 11th place finish. She runs for the Naval Academy. In the same race, her teammate, West Allegheny\'s Christine Taranto, the state champ in AAA two years ago, finished 5th. Elk Lake grad Ryan Place earned NCAC Rookie of the Year Honors while finishing 15th at the NCAC Championships, helping Allegheny College to the Men\'s Team Title.
