1/8-Whiting uncorks best US prep Shot Put in 14 years, Louis top 200 in PA @ Kutztown Invitational

Central Dauphin senior Ryan Whiting was already #1 in the US, but with a throw of 68-09.50 at the Kutztown Invitational, he becomes one of the top four prep indoor shot putters of all time. And only three other athletes have better performances. It\'s the best indoor throw since 1990 when California\'s Brent Noon was ripping up the record book, ghrowing over 68-9 seven times, capped with the 74-11 US record. Whiting\'s teammate Leslie Lynch, won the Shot Put as well, throwing 37-05.50. Getting warmed up a bit after a later than usual start, Easton junior Lindsey Regan cleared 12-0 to win the Pole Vault. Four other PA girls were over 10\', with Susquehanna\'s Amber Gaffey at 10-6. Gwynedd-Mercy posted a strong 9;52.91 4x800. And Bensalem\'s LaMonte Louis has the top 200 in the state so far at 22.97.
