Kyle Dawson (Coatesville) and Vince McNally (Conestoga Valley, led Penn State to a 4th place finish at the NCAA Division I Mid-Atlantic Regional on their home course on Saturday, November 13th. Dawson ran 30:06, with McNally a second behind.
Villanova's Keith Capecci (Council Rock North) was 17th in 30:40; Georgetown's Mark Dennin (Boyertown) was 18th in 30:46; Princeton's Max Kaulbach (Germantown Friends), was 19th in 30:50, and Georgetown's Ben Furcht (Lower Merion) was 23rd in 31:01. Kaulbach was 5th man for the winning Princeton Tigers. Capecci was 5th man for 2nd place Villanova. Dennin and Furcht were 3rd and 4th men, respectively, for 3rd place Georgetown.
For the women, Kara Millhouse (Boiling Springs), was 20th in 21:00 for the 3rd place Lady Lions, scoring 2nd.
Teammates Natalie Bower, 21st in 21:06 (Latrobe), Maura Ryan (22nd in 21:10) (Gwynedd Mercy Academy), and Emily Giannotti, 31st in 21:39 (Coudersport), rounded out the Penn State scoring. University of Pennsylvania's Leslie Kovach (Norwin), was 24th in 21:11.
