Rock 24-Hour Relay raises $ for great cause and ends season with a blast

The first Council Rock North 24-Hour Relays got off to a great start Saturday at noon under partly cloudy, but warm and humid skies. And the early atmosphere indicated that these athletes and their coaches were going to have some fun.

"They did is all. Sold the sponsorships. Set up the track. Made the signs. All I did was work with the school." Boys' Coach Dave Marrington was obviously impressed with what he saw as the first 24-Hour Relay got underway at Noon, Saturday June 4th. But it wasn't a surprise. He knows distance kids, and this was something they would do. Raise money for a great cause - The Jimmy Fund - and have a blast doing it.

We'll have a report on the final tallies, miles run and more, but until then, enjoy a photo gallery from the first hours, and a look at one of the participants who didn't want his photo taken, in CapecciCam.
