Jean-Luc Twyman of Coatesville, Paul Lee of COatesville, and Louis Smith of Downingtown West all cleared 6-5 in the high jump, Brent Charlton of Downingtown West beat out Twyman in the triple jump by one inch with a winning jump of 43-10.50, and he won the long jump with a mark of 21-08.50. On the track, Spring Ford ran 3:33.65 to win the 4x400 meter relay, Great Valley ran a PA#8 time of 8:19.02 to win the 4x800 meter relay, Eddie Burgess of Great Valley ran 6.57 to win the 55 meter dash, Mike Robinson of Downingtown West ran 51.72 to win the 400 meter dash, and Tommy Timmins of Phoenixville ran 2:01.21 to win the 800 meter run.

For the girls, Alicia Minella of Unionville ran a PA#7 time of 26.29 to win the 200 meter dash, Emily Cable of Villa Maria Academy ran a PA#6 time of 59.62 to win the 400 meter dash, Taylor Carcella of Downingtown East ran a PA#5 time of 2:20.04 to win the 800 meter run, Lauren Mills of Unionville ran a PA#6 time of 10:31.81 to win the 3000 meter run, and Coatesville ran 1:48.83 to win the 4x200 meter relay. In the field, Caitlin Yakas of Sun Valley threw 36-05 to win the shot put.

Maria Seykora of Notre Dame ran an aggressive 5:05.45 to win the mile, set a new county meet record, and move up to PA#3 on the state list. Hannah Grossman of Strath Haven finished 2nd with a PA#5 time of 5:10.55. Lydia Ali of Radnor won both the 55 meter dash (7.29) and the 200 meter dash (26.09, PA#2). Rachel Van Metre of Strath Haven won the 55 meter hurdles with a PA#3 time of 8.75 (8.69 prelim). Strath Haven led five teams to state qualifying performances with their winning time of 4:08.43. In the field events, Maddie Eustache of Upper Darby won both the long jump (18-01.50, county meet record) and triple jump (36-05, PA#2), and Anna McCloskey of Cardinal O'Hara moved up to PA#2 in the shot put with a winning mark of 41-03.50, one inch behind the top spot in PA

Eric Futch of Penn Wood won a very competitive 55 meter hurdles with a new state leading time of 7.67. Futch led five guys under the state standard. Tyrell Stephenson of Penncrest won the 55 meter dash with a T-PA#3 time of 6.56. Manny Collins of Strath Haven won the 400 meter dash in 51.03. Tyler Gallen of Cardinal O'Hara won the 200 meter dash in 23.13. Chris Garrity of Cardinal O'Hara ran a PA#4 time of 9:09.53 to win the 3000 meter run. Strath Haven (3:30.36, PA#4) edged out Penn Wood (3:30.77) to win the 4x400 meter relay. In the field events, reigning state leader Darrell Hill of Penn Wood threw 56 feet even to win the shot put, Kevin Day of Glen Mills cleared 6-3 to win the high jump, and Wellington Zaza of Upper Darby won the triple jump with a PA#5 mark of 44-02.25

For the girls, Nicole Hilton of South Fayette won the 3000 meter run with a time of 10:40.1, Krista Kuss of Baldwin won the 60 meter dash in 7.7, Erikka Williams of Rochester jumped 17-03.25 to win the long jump, and Rachel Serafin (39 feet even, PA#4) beat out Marquax Krahe of Bethel Park (38 feet even, PA#6) to win the shot put.

Cierra White of Engineering and Science left Lehigh University Friday night as the new state leader in the 200 meter dash with her US#8 winning performance of 25.36. North Penn led six teams under 12:50 in the distance medley with their winning time of 12:31.79. All six medaling teams cracked the state top eight.

Abington ran 4:02.82 to win the 4x400 meter relay over Upper Darby (4:05.57, PA#2) and Central Bucks West (4:06.64, PA#3). Lean Nugent of Abington ran 8.81 to win the 60 meter hurdles. Elyse Wilkinson of Penn Charter ran 2:17.71 to win the 800 meter run. Anne Holland of Pennridge cleared 5-6 to win the high jump. Jordan Matthews of Abington won the long jump with a mark of 18-01.25. Spring Gamble of Girls High won the shot put with a PA#5 mark of 39 feet even. Strath Haven's Rachel Van Metre won the triple jump with a leap of 35-07.25.

GaREAT Scholastic Open Meet - OATCCC Qualifier #2

 

Jared Schuat of Elk County Catholic won the 400 meter dash with a T-PA#7 time of 51.03. Wade Endress (4:30.12) and Tyler Lidwell (4:31.82) of Altoona placed 1st and 2nd in the 1600 meter run. Teammate Evan Falbo cleared 13-6 to win the pole vault. For the girls, Nikki Kears of Altoona won the 400 meter dash (1:03.56), the 60 meter hurdles (9.86), and the high jump (4-10). Her teammate Alexis Ebersole ran 2:29.24 to win the 800 meter run.

Morgan Sheaffer of West Perry edged out Lydia Ali of Radnor by three hundreths of a second to win the 400 meter dash in 59.44. Ali's time of 59.47 is PA#4. Shelley Black of James M Coughlin (left in photo by Corry Mull) ran 8.23 to increase her state lead in the 55 meter hurdles. Jessica Whitmore of Chambersburg (7.30, PA#2) needed the slimmest of margins to defeat Deme'shia Davis of Central Dauphin East (7.31, PA#3) in the 55 meter dash. Davis got a nice consolation prize by taking over the state lead in the 200 meter dash with her winning time of 25.94. Margo Britton of Dallastown threw 37-05.50 to win the shot put, and both Kathleen McPhillips of Carlisle and Caitlin Eberly of Mechanicsburg both cleared 11 feet even in the pole vault.

For the boys, current long jump state leader Austin Rizzo of Williamsport won the long jump with a mark of 22-05.25. Cory Johnson of Chambersburg won the shot put with a PA#3 mark of 55-04.25. Vince Fadale of Selinsgrove ran 4:27.18 to win the 1600 meter run. Ben Steele of Central Dauphin East cleared 14 feet even to win the pole vault, and freshman Jeff Groh of Lower Dauhpin ran 9:55.71 to win the 3200 meter run.

In division 2, Zach Greth of Exeter ran a PA#4 time of 9:03.43 to win the 3000 meter run, Dustin Wilson of Chestnut Hill Academy led four runners under the state standard in the one mile run with his PA#5 time of 4:29.50, Jamie Gentile of Malvern Prep ran 2:01.60 to win the 800 meter run, Cardinal O'Hara ran a PA#5 time of 10:56.36 to win the distance medley relay, Strath Haven ran a PA#7 time of 8:18.61 to win the 4x800 meter relay, and Scott Rushton of Episcopal Academy threw 54-02 to win the shot put. Three PA#1s highlighted the action on the girls side. Iman Wilkerson of Penn Hills took over the state lead in the 60 meter dash with her winning time of 7.67. She also won the 400 meter dash in 1:00.86. She led off her 4x200 meter relay team to victory in 1:47.94 and their 4x400 to her 4th gold of the day in 4:20.47. The other two PA#1s came from Larisa Debich of Hempfield in the pole vault (12 feet even) and her teammate Rachel Serafin in the shot put (41-05). Erikka Williams of Rochester won the long jump with a mark of 18-01.



For the boys, Richard Rouse of Penn Hills became the state leader in the long jump with a mark of 22-10. Ian Welsh of Pittsburg Central Catholic won the triple jump with a mark of 44-07.25. David Reinhardt of Bradford threw 52-07.25 to win the shot put. Dakoda Walker of McDowell ran 7.08 to win the 60 meter dash and teammate Greg Garmon ran a PA#2 time of 22.66 to win the 200 meter dash. Brandon Krszal of West Allegheny won the 800 meters with a PA#3 time of 2:00.07. Alex Moran of Mount Lebanon won the mile (4:33.88) and 3000 meter runs (9:17.66). Tyler Abels of Elizabeth Forward ran a PA#4 time of 8.37 to win the 60 meter hurdles. McDowell ran 1:33.26 to win the 4x200 meter relay.
