PA Girls Breakthrough Performances: Week of April 13th


Here is a roundup of recent performances by Pennsylvania high school track and field athletes.

Ciara Lacey (Hatboro Horsham) cleared 5-3 in the high jump at PW Girls vs Hatboro Horsham on April 14, improving from her previous best of 4-8. The sophomore's mark ranks #32 in Pennsylvania and #6 among sophomores, setting a school record. Lacey also improved her shot put PR from 31-7.75 to 31-8.25 at the same meet.

Emma Bloom (Mars Area) ran 15.86 in the 100m hurdles at the SV-Marcie Peaco Freshman/Sophomore Invitational on April 18, dropping from her previous best of 17.34. The sophomore ranks #80 in the state and #16 among sophomores, winning the event among 29 competitors. Bloom also set a PR in the 300m hurdles, improving from 49.75 to 49.23.

Sadie Booths (Western Wayne) threw 141-7 in the discus at the Walter J. Godek Twilight Invitational on April 17, improving from 121-8 set in April 2026. The sophomore's throw ranks #2 in Pennsylvania and #1 among sophomores, setting a school record while winning among 33 competitors.

Grace Holderith (Delaware Valley) ran 10:57.97 in the 3200 meters at the Walter J. Godek Twilight Invitational on April 17, dropping from her previous best of 12:37.96. The sophomore ranks #23 in the state and #3 among sophomores, setting a school record while winning among 23 competitors.

Sophia Genditzki (Bedford) cleared 11-0 in the pole vault at the Shippensburg 99th Roddick HS Invitational on April 18, improving from 10-2 set in April 2026. The junior ranks #29 in Pennsylvania and #14 among juniors, setting a school record while placing sixth among 29 competitors.

Sadie Giampetro (Lower Dauphin) cleared 12-3 in the pole vault at the Shippensburg 99th Roddick HS Invitational on April 18, improving from her previous best of 11-6. The senior ranks #6 in the state and #2 among seniors, winning among 29 competitors.
