States week kicks off with a look at the names to watch for in the girls' sprints and hurdles at the PTFCA Indoor State Championships, set for Sunday, February 27 at Penn State.
Avery Lewis is the top seed in the 60m and 200m, but she will be challenged by the likes of Laila Campbell and Fore Abinusawa in the 60 and Campbell and Sanaa Hebron in the 200. Hebron, meanwhile, is the one to beat in the 400m earlier in the meet. Taleea Buxton was a state champion two years ago right before the coronavirus shut the world down. Now she returns looking to add another indoor state gold.
