9/2-Chambersburg\'s girls show off depth and youth @ Enos Yeager Invitational

Chambersburg\'s girls were projected to be a top state team this year. Word around the course was they had a 9th grader coming in who would make some noise. Well, only half that prediction is true: They are going to be strong. But about that frosh - well, there are THREE freshman who cracked their top seven at their opening meet, one running 2nd on the team, and another 5th. Sarah Morrison, the state 1600 meter champ, is now a junior and led the team with her 2nd place 14:47 on the 2.3 mile course at the Falling Spring Elementary School. In all, Chambersburg took seven of the top ten spots. Big Spring junior Lara Crofford, coming off a strong outdoor campaign, won the race in 14:44, with sophomore teammate Amanda Raudabaugh 3rd at 15:06.

In the boys race, it\'s looking like the Chambersburg guys have some depth this year, taking eight of the top 11 spots. James Buchanan senior Med Yeatts was 1st in 13:02.
