LaSalle used a 21-second compression behind the winning 16:40 by Pat Jeffers to win the PCL Northern Division meet on 10/26 at Belmont Plateau. The team average of 16:50.52 was more than three seconds better than what Cardinal O\'Hara ran to win the Southern Division, despite O\'Hara\'s Greg Thomas posting a 16:04.35, the fastest time of the day. LaSalle\'s tallied just 17 points in taking five of the top six, and nine of the top 11 spots. O\'Hara had to work a little harder, holding off Monsignor Bonner 41-49, with St. Joseph\'s Prep just another point back. Carroll\'s Chris Tilger was 2nd in the Southern Division race with a 16:24.49.
The Saint Hubert\'s girls won the Northern Division title by seven over Archbishop Wood behind the 3rd place finish of Megan Mehaffey in 21:09.23. Bishop McDevitt\'s Katie Filemyr won in 20:16.21. In the Southern Division, Cardinal O\'Hara used a day-best team average of 20:15.76, putting five scorers in the top eight behind sophomore Beth Kelly, whose 19:28.96 was the best time of the day.
