Blood Earns Track Athlete of the Week Honors

LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – Junior Ryan Blood (Summerdale, Pa./East Pennsboro) has been named Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Indoor Track Athlete of the Week for his efforts at the Valentine Meet Feb. 11. This is the first honor for Blood and the fourth for the Lock Haven University men's track and field team this season.

Blood was the fifth collegian and the eighth overall finisher in the 5000 meters against primarily Division I competition at the Valentine Meet, hosted by Boston University. In getting the NCAA Provisional time, the junior finished the course in 14:25.67, snapping his own school record and posting the top PSAC time this season by nearly ½ of a minute.

Blood and the rest of the Bald Eagles will be back in action Saturday, Feb. 18 at the Kent State Tune-Up, hosted by Kent State University.
