29 boys team and 28 girls schools competted. The day began at 49 degree with rain, but gave way to sunny, yet very windy conditions. None of that stopped a Javelin from sailing through the air for Angela Hoover of Bald Eagle Area. Her 155-02 is one of the top throws of this young season. Erin Hannon of Bradford garnered three 1sts and a 2nd, winning the 100 Hurdles in 16.79 (16:42 Trials), the 300 Hurdles in 49.73, and the Long Jump with a 16-10 effort. She was 2nd in the Triple Jump (34-01.75). Kaitlyn Urban of Westmont Hilltop had a busy, but successful day, getting wins in the 400 (62.09), and 800 (2:28.33). St. Mary's Areatook the 4x100 in 52.51 and the 4x400 in 4:26.12. For the boys, Brendan Perretta of Altoona, won both short dashes, taking the 100 in 11.16 and the 200 in 22.58. The 110 and 300 Hurdles were won byy Shawn Colligan of Bradford, in 15.20 and 39.90, respectively.Altoona took the short relays, winning the 4x100 in 43.21 and the 4x400 in 3:31.32. TheSoders returned to action, with Eric and Brian going one-two in the 3200 and reversing order in the 1600 for 2nd and 3rd.
