Nativity's Lindsey Smith came within one inch of sweeping four events. Her near miss was getting 2nd in the Triple Jump with a 32-08.5 effort. Berwick's Taylor Beattie was first. Smith won the Javelin (117-4), the Discus (116-5), and the Shot Put (32-2.50). Teammate Samantha Snukiscaptured the 400 in 1:01.3, the 300 Hurdles in 48.4 and anchored the winning 4x400 to a 4:18.2, and the victorious 4x800 to a 10:08.1. For the boys, Southern Columbia's Rob Kerris won two events, the Discus (168-6) and the Shot Put (55-6). Minersville's Jim Close took both short dashes, the 100 in 10.9 and the 200 in 22.5. Shamokin won the 4x100 in 44.7 and the 4x400 in 3:34.0. Jesse Hershey, Jersey Shore, popped a strong Javelin effort with his 185-10.
