Two of the country's best Javelin throwers compete regularly in District 3, and this time Cedar Crest's Thomas Jordan got the better of Warwick's Brad Zimmerman (213-06-208.02). Their Warwick4x800 teammates ran a 7:58.3 4x800. Chris Dixon, Hempfield, was victorious in the 110 Hurdles (14.4) and the 300 Hurdles (39.1). Hempfield's Megan Ryan won three events, taking the 100 Hurdles in a fast 14.2, the 100 in 12.2 and the 200 in 25.4. The Warwick girls posted a 9:30.7 4x800 victory. Garden Spot's Kirsten Andrews won the Long Jump (17-03.50) and Pole Vault (11-01). And in frosh watch, Craig Miller, Manheim Township, won the 1600 in 4:19.5 and was 4th in the 800 in 1:57.3.
