Tri-State Track Coaches Association
Event: 2016 T.S.T.C.A. Cross-Country Championship @ California University of Pennsylvania

The Tri-State Track Coaches Association will hold the 2016 Cross-Country Championship Meet on Thursday, October 20, 2016 at California University of PA. In keeping with the format used at the WPIAL Cross Country Championship, we will be running a series of races based on school classification. The course will be walked at 1:00 p.m. The first race, Womens AAA Varsity Race will begin promptly at 2:00 p.m. We will use a rolling schedule for all the following races with a maximum time allotment for each race of 45 minutes. The order of races for this year will be Womens AAA, Mens AAA, Womens AA/A, Mens AA/A. (The race order will change next year with the AA/A races first.) The Junior Varsity Race for all classifications will be run at the conclusion of the Mens AA/A Race. The JV Race may be split into a Mens and Womens Division. This decision will be based on the number of entries in this race.
There will be no charge for this race for TSTCA Members.
This year we will be using the timing chip supplied by Miles of Smiles. We have found that this system provides the quickest and most accurate method for scoring the meet. Each coach is responsible for registering his / her own team. Each team can register on-line at www.pa.milesplit.com Registration Site which is the same registration site used by the WPIAL Championship. This site will be closed at 5:00 p.m. - Monday, October 17th, 2016. No entries will be accepted after this time. There will be no exceptions! Each team is permitted to run up to ten (10) individuals in each Varsity Races and no limit to the individuals in the JV Race.
Awards for this year will be same as in past years:
Top ten (10) Male and Female Varsity finishers in all classifications trophies
- Finishers 11 - 20 (10) Male and Female Varsity finishers in all classifications medals
- Ribbons to the top twenty-five (25) Junior Varsity finishers
- Team trophies for First and Second Place Mens and Womens Teams in all classifications
This year we will be selling long sleeve souvenir t-shirts at the meet. The cost will be $20.00.

Schools that are not members of the Tri-State Track Coaches Association may compete in the T.S.T.C.A. Cross Country Championship. I have attached a list of TSTCA Members and if your school does not appear on this list your school is not a member. This meet is a sanction meet which will allow high schools from states bordering Pennsylvania to attend and compete. Each non-member school is asked to fill out the form below and fax (412-885-6652), e-mail (ehelbig@bwschools.net) or mail it with your entry fee to the address listed below. . The costs of this event are as follows:
$65.00 for one team Mens or Womens J.V. Runners included
$120.00 for both Mens and Womens Teams J.V. Runners included
