At Glen Mills, Ahmir Johnson of Wissahickon asserted himself as the state's bet horizontal jumper so far this season. Already at PA#1 in the long jump (23-4.75), Johnson jumped 48-5.75 in the triple jump for a PA#1 and US#4.

Payden Montana of Berwick just keeps getting better and better, and right now, she's the best in the nation. Montana set a new US#1 in the shot put. Her throw of 47-4.75 is a big PR and a quarter inch better than the previous nation-leading throw.
The hosts from State College earned some impressive wins at Penn State. The 4x800 dropped a PA#3 time of 9:37.70, Taylor Givens won the long jump (PA#5 18-3.25), Kileigh Kane won the mile (5:19.20), and Lyndsey Reed won the pole vault (11-2). On the boys' side, Lance Hamilton won the triple jump with a PA#5 leap of 45-1.5.

Pottsgrove's Miazziah Rose looked strong in the high jump. The senior bettered her PR and moved to PA#3 in the event, asserting herself as a state title contender.
Warrior Run freshman Lauren Trapani won the 1,600 meters in 5:21.79, a new PA#3. She also added a win later in the 800 meters.
