Starliper Debuts, NA Impresses: PIAA Foundation Recap

Boys' White Race Recap - PIAA Foundation Invitational

Foundation usually does a good job of helping sort out the team and individual situation in the state because it's one of the only opportunities to see teams from all over the state go head-to-head. If there ever was a statement to be made on Saturday, the Jenkintown boys yelled it so it could be heard across the Keystone State.

Jenkintown put four in the top 15 and five in the top 25 to roll to a 41 point victory in the White Race, scoring just 60 points. Jack Miller started things off for the Drakes, running away with the individual win in 16:18, his fastest time at Hershey (ten seconds faster than his third place state time from last year). Carter Geer was sixth and Pat Wagner and Luke Miller came across 14th and 15th, respectively.

Jenkintown proved on Saturday they are absolutely the 1A team to beat in the state. In the boys' merge from all the races, the Drakes were the fourth best team on the day.

Penns Valley Area's Colton Sands was second in 16:37. Holy Cross's Andrew Healey took third in 16:43, while Winchester Thurston's Scott Routledge was fourth in 16:45 and Saint Joseph's Catholic Academy's Carter Kauffman was fifth in 16:52.

In the team standings, Winchester Thurston was second with 101 points. Wyalusing Valley Area ran well to take third with 128 points, followed by fourth place Cranberry (160 points).
