Sprints/Hurdles

In one of the few instances in the 2013 state meet, the defending champion returns to defend her title in an event. In the 60 meter dash, the champion is Jody Ann Evans of Quakertown. Last season, the champion was unbeaten against PA sprinters on her way to gold. In 2013, she has kept that unbeaten streak alive. She is on her best form of the season after running 7.59 to win the DVGTCA Meet of Champions and regain the state lead. The meet record is 7.45 and Evans came close with a 7.47 in the finals. Her contenders include 3rd place finisher Katelyn Jackson of Cheltenham who moved up to PA#2 over the weekend with a lifetime best of 7.69. Amani Nesmith of Swenson (6th) and Natalie Pinkney of Pennridge (7th) also return from the 2012 final.
