Cumberland Valley broke through in a big way in the Paul Short Brown race to earn a runner up finish, with only state number 1 Malvern Prep defeating them. The District 3 squad had a 1-5 spread of an impressive 42 seconds with two sub 16 minute runners and five sub 16:45 runners. Easton finished 3rd with 200 points with two sub 16 minute performances of their own, none bigger than Colin Abert’s 14:55. The District 11 squad had five runners hit 17:00 or faster. Hershey finished right behind them in 4th by only 18 points, while Twin Valley (7th) and Parkland (10th) also finished in the top ten. Carlisle were victorious at the Salesianum Invitational championship race. North Allegheny returned to their winning ways at the Pittsburgh Central Catholic Invitational without the services of Matt McGoey.

The individual top ten added three new performances, including the return to the top of the list by Colin Abert. The Easton senior ran a Paul Short meet record 14:55 to earn US#...
