Monday – August 20, 2007

Training:  60 minutes

Day Mileage: 8.5 miles

Week Mileage:  8.5 miles

Details:  Ran at 6:30 this morning before class, which started at 9 and went until 5 and I would rather run beforehand than afterwards!!!  I don't have much time at the moment because I have so much going on, which is kind of holding my mileage back…  Prioritize Josi, prioritize!!!

 

Tuesday– August 21, 2007

Training:  50 minutes

Day Mileage: 7 miles

Week Mileage:  15 miles

Details:  Ran at 6:30 again because of class, but it was soo nice in the morning and then the day actually got colder as the day went on so I was really glad I ran in the morning.

 

Wednesday– August 22, 2007


Training:  15 minute warm up, 25 minute tempo and 6x 100 meter strides, 10 minute cool down

Day Mileage: 7.5 miles

Week Mileage:  22.5 miles

Details:  Short tempo today because I am still in my "build-up" stage.

 

Thursday- August 23, 2007

Training:  60 minutes

Day Mileage: 8.5 miles

Week Mileage:  30.5 miles

Details:  Easier run today because my body felt tired…Not necessarily from running, but rather from running around doing a million things.

 

Friday - August 24, 2007

Training:  55 minutes

Day Mileage: 8 miles

Week Mileage:  38.5 miles

Details:  Ran a faster-paced run today (tempo) because I am heading to Belgium for the weekend to watch Ueli race a 5k!

 

Saturday- August 25, 2007


Training:  easy run, was in Antwerp for the weekend

Day Mileage: 6 miles

Week Mileage:  44.5

Details:  Ran through Antwerp a bit and then we found this little park, where we could run some loops in.

 

Sunday- August 26, 2007


Training:  off day

Week Mileage:  44.5 WEAK!!!!  Taking the build-up thing too slow!  Drove back home from Antwerp today and was DEAD!

 

          Okay, enough building up…I need to get up there!  But, I also have to realize that I can't do it all!!!!  I had to cut my training back this week from the original plan due to my busy schedule of teaching, tutoring, translating, reading, writing, planning, running…..

Details:  6:30 run yet again.

Wednesday- August 29, 2007

Training:  20 minute warm up, 20 minute tempo run with 100m sprints at the end, 20 minute cool down

Day Mileage: 9 miles

Week Mileage:  26 miles

Details:  Harder workout coming up on Saturday, finally!

 

 

Thursday- August 30, 2007


Training:  50 minutes

Day Mileage: 7 miles

Week Mileage:  33 miles

 

Friday - August 31, 2007

Training:  65 minutes

Day Mileage: 9 miles

Week Mileage:  42 miles

Details:  Drag, drag, drag.  I don't mean to DE-motivate anyone, but man oh man, I am draggin' right now!!!!  Not feelin' it at all.

 

Saturday – September 1, 2007

Training:  20 minutes warm up, 2x2 km 2 minute recovery, 3x1km with 1 minute recovery, 20 minute cool down

Day Mileage: 10.5 miles

Week Mileage:  52.5 miles

Details:  Felt a bit weak today, but I think a "base" is definitely dwindling, which is why I felt weak on this "longer" workout.

 

 

Sunday– September 2, 2007


Training:  60 minutes

Day Mileage: 9 miles

Week Mileage:  61.5 miles

Details:  Okay, mileage up a bit, but the long run is missing!!!!!!!!!!!!

          I have been soooo tired!  Just found out that my iron is really low so I gotta' get that fixed!!!  So yeah, that explains a lot.  I gotta' get pumped full of iron and then I guess I am supposed to feel better….so I'll keep ya' updated!

  

NEXT: September 3,4,5,6,7,8,9 – Everything is good, except I need a coach.

 

PREVIOUS: July 16, 17, 18, 19, 20, 21, 22 – Road racing is my new favorite..
