Well, Ueli and I ended up furniture shopping for 6 hours and I was POOPED at the end!   It was really exhausting! This place was HUGE!  And I looked at about 500 couches and in the end told Ueli to "just pick one" because I was so damn tired!   Hahaha.

Sunday – October 21, 2007
Training:  20 warm up, 10k on the track!!!  10 minute cool down
Day Mileage:  10 miles
Week Mileage: 61 miles
Details:  That 10k on the track was rough!  Was really windy again!!!

Ugh!  This was a hard workout, but a very good mental workout…Josi's getting back to her roots, a good thing…Skinny used to make me run on the track like 4 times a week!   I remember doing 4-5 mile tempo runs all on the track…So yes, it feels good to get back to what I am used to doing, MENTAL and physical workouts are exhausting, but when you are racing, it's the best thing you can do to prepare…not just for track, but for any race.   If you can run anything over 25 laps around a track by yourself, it really gets your head where it needs to be…What happened to the days where I wouldn't even flinch when Skinny said, "run 5 miles on the track???"   Well, I am going to reinstate those days when I shoveled a whole first lane of a track to do a work out on it…is that crazy?  Well, I did it!   Speaking of snow….  Snow is on its way over here in Switzerland…hellooooo winter!  The most difficult season to get yourself out there mentally!!!!

BRING ON THE SNOW!  Although, it's de-motivating at times…at TIMES, when it is butt-cold outside and you have to decide how many layers you have to wear that day is not my idea of a fun run:-).   The snow isn't here yet, but they are calling for it…
