A pair of PA harriers--Abbe Goldstein of Germantown Academy and Mike Kolor of Seneca Valley--made the trip to Boston for Sunday's New Balance Grand Prix. While pro stars like Ashton Eaton, Meseret Defar, and Nick Willis attracted a lot of attention there was a junior girls and boys mile, featuring Goldstein and Kolor.

Goldstein has been in some stacked races this year, but perhaps no field was as loaded as the Grand Prix mile. Stephanie Jenks and Sammy Watson went 1-2, but Goldstein was right up with them early on. The GA junior ended up sixth in a new PA#1 of 4:52.08. It's yet another PR for Goldstein who has been on a tear this winter.

Aislinn Devlin of Downingtown West was also in the field, placing 11th in a PA#6 4:58.13.

Kolor, like Goldstein, has had a busy indoor season. The Harvard-bound Kolor finished seventh in a very competitive field. Jack Salisbury from Rhode Island won it over Thomas Ratcliffe of Massachusetts in 4:08. Kolor still set a big indoor PR for the mile, running a 4:15 to better his own PA#2 that he set back in December at the Armory.
