THAT'S IT!!!

That was, or is, a very frustrated that's it! I have to get a coach, there is no way to get around it anymore, because this "train on your own" system is NOT working anymore! I cannot do it. The girl that had been training with for a while now has been inured for about half a year and I don't have anyone to work out with. Some of the other girls I train with are either injured or are in the middle of track season and are doing something completely different than I am… I can't train alone, it's as simple as that. Maybe that's why I sometimes think I am not made to have running as a career, since it has felt like more of a hobby for a while now. I have to be honest with myself and this just is not working. I am going to find a coach PRONTO and work from there. I need someone there to hold me accountable, I need or want someone there to ask me how my training is going, to have someone give me some guidance. I can't just run a race whenever I can get one in, but I really just need to sit down and make a plan with someone. I still believe that I have a lot of potential and I haven't given up yet, but the way I am training right now will not get me where I want to go so I have to just stop and be honest with myself and those around me. I still WANT THIS…BUT I am just not able to do it on my own! I thought I would have someone by now, but it didn't work out so now it's time to move on. I kept thinking, come on, this will work, this will work… but it's obviously not… sooo, that is the latest… I can't do this on my own so now for a plan. I have finals in 2 weeks and then I have a bit of "vacation" time ("vacation" because I have to do some field work for my M.A. Thesis this summer, write a couple Seminar papers, and have to research, research, research…) But anyway, after my finals, I REALLY want to start anew. I can't keep DRAGGIN' on like I have been or I'll be stuck in whatever rut I'm in forever. If it's broken, FIX IT. So I am going to fix it. I still love to run, but it's coming to a point, where I can't "just run" to run if I want to make a career out of it…SO, yeah, it's been a while, I know, but Josi seems to fall in this rut a couple times a year…so now it's time to get out of it and stay out of it… Thanks to all of you who support me, even through tough times!!! To those who aren't "fair weather" fans

:-).
