Boys' Varsity Race Recap
Noah Beveridge notched invite win #1 of his career, running 16:26 for the win at Cooper's Lake to take the SRU Invite in convincing fashion. That's much faster than Beveridge has run in other races at the Cooper's Lake course and he has asserted himself as a serious threat in District 7 and beyond as we move in the second half of this season. Watch his post-race interview below:
Mount Lebanon was impressive as a team, taking the victory with just 55 points, 54 points better than second place Butler. Bryce Brandenstein led the way for Mt. Leb, taking third in 16:49. Runner 2-6 were all inside the top 20, with sophomore Jack Cameron placing tenth, freshman Patrick Anderson 12th, Thomas Cosentino 14th, Zachary Dewitt 16th and Cameron Potts 18th. Seventh man Alex Browkow was solid in 24th place. We talked with Mount Lebanon coach Mike Agostinella after the race:
Harbor Creek looked strong up front. Sophomore Ryan Starveggi took second in 16:48, while Aiden Weber was fourth in 16:54. They were without one of their top runners, Christian Babo on Saturday, though, and ended up sixth in the team race. Chambersburg, led by Andrew Feldman in sixth place overall, took third in the team race behind Butler.
