In AAA, two-time state champion Uche Nwogwugwu has graduated, but a ton of talent is back this spring. At the top of that list is Hunter Robinson of Avonworth/Northgate. The versatile Tulane-bound sprinter won state titles in the 100 and 200 meters last spring to go along with a second place in the 400. She went 54.49 for the WPIAL title and went 54.52 at states last season in the 4. Could she pull off the trifecta this time around?
She'll get good competition from a pair of talented Cheltenham quarter milers. Alexis Crosby was third in 2015, second in 2016, and third last season in the 400 at states.
