
Miles Green of Saint Joseph's Prep got his long-awaited state title last month, when he crossed first to take the indoor state crown in the 400 meters. After that, Green went on to become an individual All-American over the distance and anchor his Prep 4x4 to the national title and a state record. Green split 46.39 on that anchor leg. Now the senior and Virginia Tech recruit heads into his final high school season, aiming for more glory.
Green's 47.56 is the fastest returning time in the state, though Green will be aiming to run faster. He'll also have his sights set on a high finish in the 400-meter hurdles at the national level. Injuries derailed the end of his spring last year (he wound up third at outdoor states), so he'll be aiming to finish on a high note.
