TSTCA Meet #1 - Meet Recap

Mackenna Orie shows she just keeps getting better and better. The Hempfield Area senior won the shot put and tossed a big PA#3 and US#3 throw of 45-11, a big all-conditions PR.

Casey Burton of North Allegheny had a big day. The junior leapt to the top of the state rankings in the long jump with an 18-08 jump. That's also an indoor best for her. Burton also ran a PA#3 in the 60 meters, claiming the win there in 7.74.

Upper Saint Clair's Jane Madson won the 200 meters in 25.54, a PA#4. Bethel Park's Emily Carter ran 5:18 to win the mile.

Butler's Jack Codispot jumped 14-5 to win the pole vault. He moves to PA#4 on the season.

In the 60 meters, Joseph Piper of Greater Latrobe showed he will be a factor in the sprints this winter. He ran 6.99, a PA#4, and is just one of four PA boys under 7 this season. Hempfield Area's Jared Bannon ran 8.31 to win the 60-meter hurdles and moves to PA#6 on the season.
